Trends are inspirational in their diversity and designers are making bold statements with interesting shapes, technological innovation and attention towards energy savings.

There is plenty of fresh, fun new materials, colours and products to experiment with and tap-ware is the easiest fixture to change in a bathroom to upscale and transform the whole space with a new look.

New and exciting colours such as white, chocolate, gunmetal and rose gold are now available and the prevalent setting colours such as brushed chrome or matte black suiting contemporary spaces or burnished brass for a traditional appeal, continue to make a strong presence today.

In this post, is just a few examples of the most unique and inspiring faucets I have come across for 2018!

The Tailwater Collection from the global bathroom brand Jaquar Group has been honored in this years prestigious Red Dot Awards for product design. Tailwater was created for Jaquar’s premium Artize range by the London-based Danelon Meroni design studio and combines sleek lines inspired in the natural world with expertly-engineered industrial design.

For the ultra-modern high-tech upgrades, there is this cool bathroom faucet collection Ametis from Graff.

The lever on/off handle is a modern touch that maintains the sleek slender lines of the faucet. A LED light ring around the lever indicates water temperature changes.

Available right here in New Zealand at Bellacasa, the new Philo series was created from a desire to reduce consumption through jets of water that are less powerful but cover a wider surface area. In fact, the innovation of this range lies in the inclusion of a 6mm, three-hole dwarf aerator placed under the mouth.

Designed by Gianluca Belli – Phi Cubo.

For those looking for modern aesthetics, there is a HansaLatrava, a high-tech bathroom faucet from Hansa. This electronic basin mixer creates a luxurious water experience with a fine water ‘curtain’ achieved through the specially developed jet.

An integrated control panel adjusts the water temperature with the visual help of a LED indicator.
